Johnny Manziel should be starting for the Cleveland Browns

During this past NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns selected arguably the most exciting player to ever play the game of college football. Johnny was absolutely incredible during his years at Texas A&M and everyone thought that would be enough for him to have a starting spot in the NFL.

However, that has not been the case so far for Johnny Manziel in the NFL. He is currently the back-up quarterback behind two year starting quarterback Brian Hoyer. No offense to Brian Hoyer, but I believe that Johnny gives the Browns a much better chance to compete in a tough AFC North division. The reason why I have so much confidence in Manziel is because he is a competitor and knows how to succeed in the game of football. Keep in mind that he was the first freshman ever to win the Heisman Trophy at Texas A&M. As if that wash't enough, the Aggies stadium is now referred to "the house that Johnny built" because of all the great things he did for that problem. The biggest problem here with Manziel is that he has too much talent and knowledge about football to be warming the bench for Brian Hoyer.

Hopefully the Browns come to their senses soon and put Manziel in charge of the offense and give the Browns their best chance at winning.

More drama for defending NCAA National Championship team FSU

In the NFL this season, there have been multiple reports of players being involved in domestic violence with their significant others. Some notable cases in the NFL this year are Baltimore Ravens Running Back Ray Rice and Defensive Tackle Ray McDonald of the San Francisco 49ers. However, this particular domestic violence is not coming from the NFL for once!

Unfortunately, it looks like there is more drama brewing for the Florida State football team. Believe it or not, Jameis Winston is not the source of the problem this time which is a total shocker because of the trouble he has been getting in. Instead it is his fellow teammate Karlos Williams who is the starting running back for the team. Williams is being investigated for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend who is pregnant with their second child. This could be a huge loss for the Seminoles if the NCAA decides to hand down a suspension to Karlos Williams. The reason why he is so crucial for Florida States high powered offense is because he is the starting running back who leads the team in rushing yards with 378 and has a solid total of seven touchdowns.

I'm not sure if it is something that they are putting in the water over at Florida State, but these players need to get their heads on straight and realize they have a very good chance at winning a second straight NCAA National Championship if they can just stay out of trouble.

Cleveland Cavaliers an early Championship favorite?

The world was shocked during the summer of 2014 when LeBron made perhaps the most important decision and announcement of his career. After leaving the Cavaliers to go to the Miami Heat because there was a better chance to win there, LeBron James made the decision to come back to his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio and play for the Cavaliers once again.

This time, LeBron James will have better players helping him along the way and hopefully all the way to the NBA Finals. The Cleveland Cavaliers had an excellent off-season and put together a solid team for the 2014-2015 season. They already had their star point guard in Kyrie Irving who came to the NBA after one year of college at Duke University and has been dominating defenders ever since. One addition that the team made during the offseason was acquiring Power Forward Kevin Love. Love averaged 26.1 points per game and 12.1 rebounds per game and will be a great addition to the Cavaliers. Last but not least, the Cavs lured the NBA's best player LeBron James back to Ohio. King James was third in the league last year for points per game. People are already talking about the Cavaliers "Big 3" (Irving, Love and James) being better than the Miami Heats 'Big 3" (Wade, Bosh and James) the past 4 years. The sky is the limit for this Cavaliers squad that hopes to bring a World Championship back to Cleveland, Ohio.

Peyton Manning breaks Brett Favre's touchdown passing record

History was made last Sunday night in the NFL. Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning surpassed Brett Favre's record of 508 career touchdown passes. The record-breaking performance came at a perfect time in front of a home crowd against a competitive 49ers opponent.

For Manning, breaking NFL records is nothing out of the ordinary. For example, last season he needed two touchdown passes to break the record of most touchdown passes in the regular season heading into a game against the Houston Texans. The record, previously held by Tom Brady was 50. Peyton Manning did what he does best and shattered the record and passed for an impressive five touchdowns and set the new record of 55. On October 19, 2014 history was made in a similar fashion. The Denver Broncos were hosting the San Francisco 49ers and Peyton Manning needed three touchdown passes to pass Brett Favre for most career passing touchdowns. Peyton had another solid performance in front of a home crowd and passed for four touchdowns. After Manning broke the record and got his 509th TD pass, his teammates jokingly played a game of monkey in the middle and kept the record setting ball away from the future Hall of Fame quarterback.

Time for Famous Jameis to leave FSU?

Many people have heard about the drama that has been surrounding former Heisman winner and Florida State Quarterback Jameis Winston. Recently, there has been some controversial incidents that the star football player has been apart of. First, he stole crab legs from a local grocery store and was suspended one game for doing so. Next, Winston stood on top of a table at a student union meeting and yelled an inappropriate phrase that has gone viral on the internet. He was suspended another full game for inappropriate behavior. The last incident is the most recent, and Jameis Winston was caught signing autographs and merchandise for fans in return for money. Signing any merchandise for money is against NCAA policy and has consequences. The last player to do this was Johnny "Football" Manziel and he was suspended the first half of their game against Rice last year. This issue has been the focus of ESPN for weeks now because most of them believe that Jameis Winston is being selfish and doing whatever he wants and doesn't care about how it effects his team. For example, when he was suspended after yelling the vulgar phrase, FSU had to play a huge Clemson opponent without their best player. Luckily for Winston, his team pulled themselves together and got the huge win. So the question remains "Is it time for Jameis Winston to leave FSU?"
